The Sierra Club, a local environmental group called Bark, and a local resident have joined in an appeal of the lease renewal for the Oregon LNG site. According to the Daily Astorian, the parties are requesting that the Oregon Department of State Lands reconsider its decision to renew its land lease to the Port of Astoria, which in turn subleases the land to Oregon LNG.
