Last week the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) approved an application filed by Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC to export LNG produced from domestic natural gas. The export proposal contemplates exporting up to 16 million metric tons per annum to countries with which the United States has a free trade agreement and that have not barred LNG vessels.
