EIA Expects United States to Import 460 Bcf of LNG in 2009

In its Short-Term Energy Outlook released yesterday, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicted that U.S. imports of LNG would total 460 Bcf in 2009 and 660 Bcf in 2010. EIA noted that it revised downward its previous prediction for 2009

In its Short-Term Energy Outlook released yesterday, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicted that U.S. imports of LNG would total 460 Bcf in 2009 and 660 Bcf in 2010. EIA noted that it revised downward its previous prediction for 2009 due to global LNG market conditions and relatively high world oil prices.
