An official with Freeport LNG told The Facts (Brazoria County, Texas) that a leak of natural gas occurred during annual preventative maintenance to a pipeline at the Freeport terminal yesterday at approximately 10:30 a.m. The incident caused a loud noise and town officials in Quintana, Texas, considered evacuating the town before receiving information regarding the incident from Freeport LNG.
