An editorial offered by the Republican American (Waterbury, Conn.) argues that certain Connecticut state officials, including Gov. M. Jodi Rell (R-Conn.) and Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, bear some responsibility for the state’s high energy costs because of their continued opposition to reasonable energy projects, such as the proposed Broadwater LNG facility. The piece argues that these officials should be more concerned with protecting taxpayers’ transportation investments and rising utilities costs for consumers.
