On January 15, the Clatsop County Planning Commission approved a variance requested by Bradwood Landing LNG developer NorthernStar Natural Gas that will allow NorthernStar to construct road improvements near the proposed LNG terminal. The Daily Astorian [subscription required] reports that the road design as approved allows NorthernStar to keep a potentially sharp curve in the road. Among other conditions, the company will have to install a flashing light or other marker to warn drivers of the upcoming curve.
