The U.S. Coast Guard’s Waterway Suitability Report for the proposed Sparrows Point LNG terminal was released earlier this week and is now available in FERC’s eLibrary under Docket No. CP07-62. The Coast Guard determined that the Chesapeake Bay “can be made suitable” for Sparrows Point LNG tanker traffic and private marine security personnel may be used to escort the transiting vessels.
