Speaking at an event hosted by the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), Canadian Superior Energy announced yesterday that it is exploring the possibility of an LNG import terminal in the New York City metropolitan area. Canadian Superior CEO Craig Mackenzie said that he expects his company will unveil more detailed plans within 30 days. According to Platts LNG Daily, the terminal may serve as an outlet for Canadian Superior’s recent gas find in Trinidad. [Subscription required]
