FERC today announced that Distrigas of Massachusetts LLC, owner and operator of the Everett LNG regasification terminal, will be permitted to abandon its current services as authorized under section 7(b) of the Natural Gas Act (NGA) and operate under section 3 of the NGA, which provides for less regulation by FERC. The decision is available under Docket No. CP08-49 in FERC’s eLibrary.
