The president of W. Fruehauf Consulting Ltd. criticizes a proposal by Imperial Oil, Conoco Canada, and Shell Canada to transport natural gas from the Mackenzie Delta via pipeline to consuming markets. In an opinion piece published today by The Edmonton Journal, he argues that liquefying the gas and transporting it via tankers would provide greater market access and flexibility than shipping the gas through the pipeline system.
