Chevron’s proposal to expand its Pascagoula oil refinery met criticism from local residents at a hearing yesterday hosted by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. Chevron hopes to use heat generated by the expanded refinery to regasify LNG at its Bayou Casotte terminal, which was approved last year by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources.
