Platts LNG Daily reports that industry analysts have identified a trend of local distribution companies (LDCs) adding more gas to storage earlier in the year to avoid direct competition with power generating gas buyers. These analysts also noted that LNG imports to the United States between January and April were up 66% over last year, likely due to the high price of LNG in North America. [Subscription required]
