Irving Oil, a co-owner of the Canaport LNG facility currently under construction in Saint Johns, New Brunswick, filed an objection with the Canadian National Energy Board regarding the proposed route of the Emera Brunswick Pipeline. Irving Oil stated that the proposed route could potentially interfere with its plans to develop a second oil refinery for the area. A spokesperson for Emera Brunswick Pipeline told the Telegraph-Journal that objections are “not uncommon” for such a project.
