The Galveston Daily News reports that parties involved in an ongoing lawsuit against BP are set to testify Thursday after a four-month long hiatus triggered by Hurricane Katrina. The suit alleges that city officials violated open meeting laws by reaching a lease agreement without public involvement. The lease would locate BP’s proposed Bay Crossing LNG terminal on Pelican Island in Galveston, Texas. [Free registration necessary]
