EIA Predicts Increased LNG Shipments in 2006 and 2007

The Energy Information Administration is predicting U.S. LNG shipments of up to 830 Bcf in 2006, compared to last year’s 630 Bcf, the agency said yesterday on its website. The EIA expects a further increase to 1,030 Bcf in 2007. The current 2006 projection is lower than the 1 Tcf projection EIA initially made in December. Yesterday’s Platts LNG Daily says the difference is attributed to increased demand in Spain and Asia. [Subscription required]
