In a June 12 letter to FERC, the president and CEO of the Natural Gas Supply Association, R. Skip Horvath, calls the recent joint statement of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America and the American Gas Association regarding gas quality and interchangeability “a positive step forward,” but cautions that it “is not an industry consensus.” In order to reflect the interests of all stakeholders, NGSA urges FERC to adopt a policy based on the Natural Gas Council Plus technical framework that will “enable cost-effective maximization of supply subject to safety concerns.”
