According to Mexico’s Energy Regulatory Commission, the Altamira terminal will soon receive the country’s first LNG shipment.  However, the gas is likely to remain in storage until 2007 when the 1 Bcf/d facility commences delivery to Mexico’s state-owned power company, Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE), which has contracted with terminal operator Shell for about half of the terminal’s capacity.  Details are in yesterday’s World Gas Intelligence.  [Subscription Required]
