The managing director for AES’ Battery Rock LNG proposal challenges The Boston Globe’s claim that industrial development of Outer Brewster Island would threaten the “peerless nature of the island,” noting that the site is currently is marred by “abandoned buildings and trash.” Aaron Samson adds that lease payments from the terminal would provide “significant financial benefits” to the Boston Harbor Islands and local communities.
