An ethanol plant in the Sparrows Point shipyard near Baltimore would be preferable to AES’ proposed LNG terminal, according to Baltimore County Councilman John A. Olszewski Sr. He said that an ethanol plant does not pose the same security risks as an LNG terminal and also does not require dredging a channel to accommodate vessels.
