In an antiterrorism exercise conducted yesterday in Mass., U.S. Coast Guard cutters raced to secure the Distrigas LNG terminal in Everett as part of a staged response to a scenario involving evidence of a possible terrorist threat to the facility. Ultimately, first responders were faced with a mock explosion of a radioactive dirty bomb at the CambridgeSide Galleria and two unexploded bombs at an MBTA station, but no attempt on the LNG facility. The story is available in today’s The Boston Globe.
