FERC yesterday approved a plan to augment send-out capacity from 1.5 Bcf/d to 4 Bcf/d at the proposed Freeport LNG terminal in Texas. ConocoPhillips, Dow Chemical Co., Cheniere Energy, and Michael Smith, former head of Basin Exploration, are involved in the facility, which is expected to come onstream in 2009.
