An attorney for the Conservation Law Foundation opposes Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Kerry Healey’s original position on AES’ proposed Battery Rock LNG terminal, asserting that the import facility would pose a danger to a nearby high school, recreational areas, and shipping lanes. Last week, Healey described Battery Rock as the “least problematic [proposed terminal] from a public safety standpoint, ” but later announced that she would not sign legislation, if passed, approving the project. The Patriot Ledger carries the op-ed.
