Dredging for the proposed AES’ Sparrows Point LNG terminal would involve removing sediment that contains high levels of toxins, Maryland state environmental officials told a task force created to review the project. Officials also reported that there might be no acceptable disposal site for the dredged material and that preparing the soil for reuse is expensive. The Baltimore Sun has the story.
