The Malibu Surfside News reports that BHP Billiton might file a lawsuit if its proposed Cabrillo Port LNG terminal is made subject to Ventura County air quality standards typically applied to onshore facilities. The Malibu Surfside News quotes a letter from BHP Billiton to the EPA regarding last month’s ruling by the Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board that the terminal, proposed for offshore California, should comply with the same stringent smog requirements as those designated for onshore facilities.
