Critics of the proposed Pacific Pipeline Connector met last weekend to discuss strategies to stop the project. According to The News-Review, the meeting’s organizer encouraged concerned citizens to write letters to politicians urging greater involvement in opposition efforts. The pipeline, which would transport natural gas from Jordan Cove Energy’s proposed LNG terminal in Coos Bay, Ore. to West Coast markets, has garnered opposition from some Oregon residents who have raised safety and environmental concerns.
