End-Users Let Out a Sigh of Relief

April 17, 2013

Energy Law360

On April 9, 2013, just one day before the April 10, 2013, end-user compliance date for swap reporting and record keeping under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s implementing regulations, the CFTC issued a no-action letter providing the end-user community certain relief from the swap-reporting requirements.

In a new article published by Law360, Sutherland Attorneys Meghan Gruebner and Alex Holtan analyze the implications of this extension in a follow-up to their previous Law360 article, "Know Your Swap Reporting Rules Before April 10" (March 22, 2012).
