Sutherland represents a Fortune 500 global chemicals company in the full scale development of an onsite combined heat and power (CHP) plant.

DescriptionSutherland lawyers structured and documented a comprehensive request for quotations (RFQ) process tailored to the client’s electric and thermal load requirements and assisted the client in evaluating detailed proposals from pre-qualified, third party CHP providers. In addition, we assisted the client in negotiating and documenting myriad project agreements including an electric and thermal offtake agreement (with detailed budget and construction related milestones and objectives), ancillary service and easement arrangements, real property matters and joint ownership and participation arrangements.
