DescriptionSutherland helped secure summary judgment, upheld on appeal, for the bank executor of the estates of a husband and wife who died within a short time of each other against claims brought by the couple’s children that the bank was liable for damages for not having caused the couple (who were represented by capable estate planning counsel) to engage in more aggressive estate tax reduction lifetime planning.
