Description
Litigated against the SEC on behalf of a former public company executive accused of accounting fraud regarding a $1 billion reserve. We prevailed on summary judgment and won dismissal of key SEC claims, after which we settled a multi-year SEC investigation on books and records charges alone. There was no financial assessment paid by our client, and the SEC did not pursue a parallel administrative sanction.
