Timberland Drivers - Taxes, Lending and Policy

September 20, 2010 - September 22, 2010

World Forest Institute’s Who Will Own the Forest? Conference Series

Sutherland Partner Bill Bradley is speaking at the World Forest Institute’s "Who Will Own the Forest?" Conference Series on September 20-22, 2010, at the World Forestry Center in Portland, Oregon. Bill will present the topic "Timberland Drivers - Taxes, Lending and Policy." The panel will discuss changes in the lending environment, tax law and policies that can impose constraints or open new opportunities. The following questions will be addressed: Has the lending environment really improved since the financial meltdown? What alternative revenue streams are emerging from regulatory and policy changes in certification, energy, and ecosystem markets? Are proposed changes to tax law likely, and how would they impact forestland investors?

The conference offers a forum to discuss, analyze and debate the latest developments in the forestland industry.
