January 18, 2006

Variable Products Legal and Compliance Forum 2006

The 2006 forum will be held in New York City on January 18.  The forum is designed to deliver practical solutions to variable annuities products professionals facing the increased SEC and NASD scrutiny.  The workshop will feature senior level staff officials from these agencies, leading experts from the private bar, and prominent in-house counsel and compliance professionals from insurance companies.

Sutherland Partner Susan Krawczyk will participate in a panel discussion entitled, Mapping the New Regulatory Landscape: What are the recent SEC, NASD and State regulatory developments and enforcement actions?  What does it mean for you?  The panel discussion will cover the NASD's annuity stability rule, notice of members 05-50 (sales of Equity Index Annuities), and insurance company needs analysis.
