Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter (ACC-GA)
Sutherland is hosting a program on pro bono work for in-house lawyers at a meeting of the Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter (ACC-GA). The event will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Maggiano’s Little Italy at the Cumberland Mall in Smyrna, Georgia.
Sutherland Managing Partner Mark D. Wasserman will moderate a panel discussion on the benefits of pro bono work, as well as finding opportunities appropriate for in-house lawyers and establishing best practices for legal departments.
The program was planned by the ACC-GA, Sutherland and the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta provides in-house and transactional attorneys with meaningful and rewarding pro bono opportunities in the attorney’s area of expertise. Volunteer lawyers are matched with nonprofit organizations that serve low-income or disadvantaged individuals.
One hour of professionalism Continuing Legal Education credit will be offered. Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited guests, as well as prospective ACC members.
