New York University Summer Institute in Taxation

Sutherland Partner Carley A. Roberts is speaking at the New York University Summer Institute in Taxation, July 16-20, 2012 in New York.

New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies is sponsoring the institute, which is made up of eight individual conferences, featuring state and local taxation, partnerships, consolidated returns, trusts and estates, wealth planning, and international taxation.

Carley’s July 17 presentation, titled "Hot Topics Regarding Public Law 86-272," covers nexus, sales tax, 86-272 and unclaimed property issues. A member of Sutherland’s State and Local Tax (SALT) team, Carley is nationally recognized for her leadership in California state tax. Her experience includes all aspects of state and local tax, from planning and compliance to controversy and litigation before administrative bodies and trial and appellate courts in jurisdictions across the country.
