March 19-23, 2008

Sutherland attorneys James H. Johnson, Jr. and Christopher L. May are speaking at the National Society of Black Engineers' 34th Annual Convention, March 19-23, 2008, in Orlando, Florida.  Jim and Chris are speaking on technology and the law, and how trademark and patent law is important for engineers in protecting their inventions.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a non-profit association dedicated to the academic and professional success of African-American engineering students and professionals. NSBE is comprised of more than 300 collegiate, 75 professional, and 75 pre-college chapters nationwide and overseas. The purpose of the National Convention is to bring together officers, leaders, and members in a centralized location to conduct the business of NSBE by reporting the year's accomplishments, and to disseminate information to the membership at large.  This year's Convention theme is "Igniting the Torch:  Engineering in Action."
