The Leveraging Trade Secrets Workshop will address the state-of-the-art in trade secret protection, negotiation and litigation practice, including important issues concerning identification and valuation of trade secrets; developing internal processes and procedures for assembling a trade secret portfolio; special considerations for protecting trade secrets during the M&A due diligence process; creating the workable and rational trade secret program; preventing and preparing for disputes; managing joint development agreements; negotiation strategies for trade secret licenses and transfers; the mobile employee problem; putting your house in order (employment contracts and internal trade secret protection procedures); reverse engineering; and other current issues.
