Robinson Plowden and Lester M. Bliwise are speaking at the conference, and attorneys David S. Poline, Jennifer R. Van Ness and Jason C. Kirkham will be leading roundtable discussions. In addition, Les is a member of the conference's Program Committee.
Jim is facilitating a seminar entitled "Help! My Shopping Center Has Fallen and Can’t Get Up," which will focus on current problems plaguing the owners of retail shopping centers; Rob is facilitating a workshop on "Lease Assignment and Sublease Agreements: Distinctions with a Difference," which will scrutinize the distinctions between lease assignment and sublease agreements and delve into the pros and cons of each mode for arriving at specific goals; and Les is also facilitating a workshop, "Borrowers in Default—Dealing with Everyone in the Capital Stack," which will focus on owner-borrowers dealing with the various lenders and investors in the capital stack when there are problems at the property and loan defaults exist or are projected, including how to deal with "Tranche Warfare."
