Sutherland was a sponsor of the Georgia Biomedical Partnership's August meeting. The meeting took place at the Georgia Centers for Advanced Telecommunications Technology (GCATT) on August 24. Dr. Barbara Boyan, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University, spoke on the topic, "Does Genetic Sex Matter? Implications for Cell and Tissue Engineering."
