Dodd-Frank Act Requirements Impacting the Derivatives Activities of Hedge Funds and Other Private Funds: A "To Do" List

November 7, 2012

Sutherland Webcast

On November 7, 2012, join us for a webcast on derivatives reform. On October 12, 2012, the final rules issued by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission to further define the term "swap" (among other terms) became effective. This action triggered the compliance dates for a number of Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act) requirements for over-the-counter derivatives and cleared swaps. Hedge funds and other private funds that use derivatives should be preparing to comply with the new Dodd-Frank Act requirements now. This webcast will identify five Dodd-Frank Act derivatives requirements that will impact hedge funds and other private funds, and the steps that should be taken to comply with them.

Sutherland attorneys James M. Cain, Meltem F. Kodaman and Raymond A. Ramirez will lead the discussion.
