IFA/OECD: New Article 7 "Something old, something new…"

Sutherland Partner Giovanna T. Sparagna is speaking at the 63rd Congress of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, August 30 - September 4, 2009. Giovanna is part of a panel that will present Seminar F, "IFA/OECD:  New Article 7 ‘Something old, something new…’" After a brief presentation of recent developments concerning the work of the OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs, the Panelists, using case studies, will compare the new Article with the existing one and assess the practical significance of the changes.

The annual IFA Congress is considered the most important IFA event of the year. The 2009 program has been designed to be of interest to tax practitioners, in-house tax advisers, academics and government officials. The main subjects are: Is there a permanent establishment? and foreign exchange issues in international taxation.
