Dispute Prevention and De-escalation: How to Draft and Deploy ‘Real Time’ Resolution Tools

January 14, 2010 - January 15, 2010

2010 International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) Annual Meeting

Sutherland attorney James P. Groton is speaking at the 2010 CPR (International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution) Annual Meeting, January 14-15, 2010, at the Barclay Intercontinental in New York City. He is also a Co-Chair of the meeting.

Jim is presenting "Dispute Prevention and De-escalation: How to Draft and Deploy ‘Real Time’ Resolution Tools." Business leaders are clamoring for new solutions to reduce the burden of litigation costs. Nonetheless, few of today's business arrangements recognize that conflict and disputes are inevitable and do not effectively build in proactive, anticipatory or preventive processes. This panel will explore conflict prevention systems and provide practical and tested techniques for long-term contract arrangements.

Sutherland is also a proud sponsor of this year's meeting, which will explore "Global ADR: The New Reality." The past year has brought dramatic change to our economy and to our world – and that change has had a great impact on the ADR field. CPR's 2010 Annual Meeting will unite thought leadership with practical application by assembling expert panels of top business leaders, attorneys, neutrals, and academics from around the world. Panelists and speakers will offer their personal perspectives‚ share best practices‚ and provide innovative techniques, processes, and systems for the advancement of commercial conflict resolution in this challenging time.
