November 18, 2015

NEW YORK—Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Lawrence Dany has been selected as one of Engineering News-Record (ENR) New York’s Top 20 Under 40. He joins an elite group of young professionals across the tri-state region under the age of 40 who exemplify superior leadership and achievements in the construction and design industry, and who demonstrate exceptional contributions and commitment to their communities.

“We congratulate Larry on this wonderful honor,” said Sutherland Managing Partner Mark D. Wasserman. “Larry is an outstanding attorney, and we are very pleased that ENR has recognized him for his contributions to the legal profession and community. He is an exemplary role model for our younger attorneys.”

The list, now in its fifth year, showcases the best-of-the-best in the construction and design industry. The honorees, selected from a pool of nominations, are chosen by an independent panel of judges based on career experience, industry involvement, leadership skills, professional certifications and community service.

At Sutherland, Mr. Dany represents clients in a wide variety of complex commercial, construction, financial services, real estate and white-collar litigation and arbitration across the country. He advises construction managers, general contractors, industrial contractors, specialty contractors and their surety companies in disputes related to complex construction projects, including breach of contract, change orders, schedule delays, lost productivity, mechanics’ lien issues, payment and performance bonds and insurance.

Mr. Dany’s practice also involves process safety litigation, occupational health and safety litigation, and industrial and construction workplace incident response. He is a member of Sutherland’s Crisis Management Team and also serves as the pro bono counsel for the YWCA of Brooklyn.
