ATLANTA and WASHINGTON (May 10, 2007) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announces the election of Michael G. Kerman and Carol A. Weiser to a three-year term on the Executive Committee, the firm’s governing body.
Mr. Kerman practices with the Real Estate group in the firm’s Atlanta office. He is the Deputy Chair of the Real Estate group and practices in the area of commercial real estate, with an emphasis on retail development and leasing, industrial development and real estate finance.
Ms. Weiser practices with the Tax group in the firm’s Washington office. Her practice involves all areas of employee benefits law, including the establishment, amendment and termination of qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, tax-sheltered annuities, individual retirement accounts, cafeteria plans and other welfare or fringe benefit plans.
David A. Massey will step down from the Executive Committee after three years of service. During his remarks at the firm’s Annual Partners Meeting, Managing Partner Mark D. Wasserman thanked Mr. Massey for his outstanding work and the many contributions that he has made over the past three years, and also noted that the firm has continued to have great success as a result of his leadership.
