ATLANTA—Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that the firm scored 100% in the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the sixth year in a row. The CEI is a study that benchmarks important employer benefits and protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees and their families.
The annual survey rates law firms on 40 specific policies and practices. To achieve a perfect score and the coveted distinction of “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality,” firms must have fully inclusive equal employment opportunity policies, provide equal employment benefits, demonstrate organizational LGBT competency, evidence their commitment to equality publicly and exercise responsible citizenship.
More than 145 law firms participated in the 2015 CEI study, of which 89 received a perfect score.
The HRC is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve LGBT equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, the HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
