ATLANTA—Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Associate Samuel J. Casey has been selected to take part in the 2016 LEAD Atlanta program for young professionals. This competitive program offers an intensive eight-month training that focuses on personal and professional development.
Selected from approximately 250 applicants, Mr. Casey joins 55 other professionals and emerging community leaders, aged 25 to 32, from across the metropolitan Atlanta region as a member of the newest LEAD Atlanta class.

At Sutherland, Mr. Casey practices securities litigation and professional liability issues, counseling corporate and individual clients in matters involving business torts, securities fraud, fraudulent and/or negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract and False Claims Act suits. He supports clients in complex business litigation jury trials in state and federal courts, arbitrations, state and federal appellate litigation, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal agency investigations, as well as in front of state securities agencies. Mr. Casey also supports large-scale, multidistrict litigation with activities such as witness preparation, motions practice, exhibit preparation and confidentiality assessments.
Additionally, Mr. Casey is a member of Sutherland’s Legal Project Management Core team, which develops processes and tools for improving the efficient and effective delivery of legal services. Mr. Casey represents multiple pro bono clients in connection with asylum petitions, at the trial level and in front of the Board of Immigration Appeals, and has worked on pro bono research and advocacy for the Anti-Defamation League and the Georgia Bar Association.
